Aston Villa 1-0 Birmingham City| Gabby once again against the blues.

Gabby Agbonlahor

Ahhhh it feels good to beat our rivals. Aston Villa won 1-0 against a poor Birmingham City side.

1st half kicked off and it was a full house at Villa Park which is incredible and I think we should do that for all the home games for next season because it will be the season where we can build the full squad and go back to the Premier League.

We have to thank Zola who ruined the club and I feel sorry for Harry Redknapp because if Birmingham get relegated then it will ruin his reputation as a manager. I don’t think he will get the blues safe because they got an inform Huddersfield and Bristol City. Villa have got Blackburn away and we got the champions Brighton for the final home game of the season.

The first half was boring lets be honest nothing really happen apart from some tackles and arguments which is what you expect from a derby. Second half started and we tried to create some good chances and we made a substitution off goes Jack Grealish on goes Gabby Agbonlahor who’s record against Birmingham is impressive.

We had a corner, Lansbury whipped it in, the players were all over the place, it fell to one man that is Gabby Agbonlahor who reaction speed was phenomenal as he smashes the ball into the top corner as nearly 50,000 fans were celebrating a goal at last.

Also I want to say RIP to Villa legend Ugo Ehiogu who was incredible alongside McGrath in defence. I think we didn’t put in a good performance but we got the 3 points and it was a fitting tribute to Ugo who not only he was a brilliant defender he was a very nice human being.

Maybe we can win the last two games but for me I want Blackburn to beat us and Birmingham to lose to Huddersfield and that would be celebration to see the scum in League One.

The Football Recap #1

Image result for Football

Hi guys Milan here and welcome to The Football Recap where we will talk about the Premier League and The Championship unfortunately.

Manchester United 1-1 Arsenal

Olivier Giroud scores against Man Utd

Olivier Giroud’s 89th-minute equaliser earned Arsenal a point and denied Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United a victory they deserved at Old Trafford.

Juan Mata looked to have put United on course for three points with a sweeping left-foot finish from Ander Herrera’s cut-back after 68 minutes. It was a good finish from Juan Mata who is looking a top player under Mourinho.

United had controlled a game that was ordinary for long periods, with Arsenal keeper Petr Cech making important saves and Mourinho left furious that they were denied a first-half penalty by referee Andre Marriner when Nacho Monreal hauled down Antonio Valencia. It was a penalty in my eyes but the Referee made a massive mistake in that game.

The Arsenal got very lucky when Oxlade-Chamberlain crossed in the perfect ball and Giroud who was unmarked in the box and made it 1-1 with a brilliant header. Mourinho was complaining saying Manchester United are the “Unluckiest Team in the league”. May I say United beat Swansea 3-1, Lost to Fernebache in the Europa League, then got destroyed by Chelsea 4-0 and a 0-0 draw against Burnley. They are not unlucky they are just poor. Enough said.

Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 West Ham United

Harry Kane

Another team who bottled it this weekend is West Ham who were 2-1 up and then lost 3-2 to their rivals Spurs.

West Ham took the lead when Antonio scored a header then Spurs youngster Harry Winks (Who was Man Of The Match) equalised to make it 1-1. West Ham then made it 2-1 when Lanzini converted from the penalty spot, and they had a chance to make it 3-1 when Zaza was on a counter attack along with Payet but he didn’t pass it to quickly and then they lost possession of the ball.

Harry Kane who returned from injury continues his form after the North London Derby against Arsenal. He made it 2-2 with a nice tidy finish and then it was 3-2 when Spurs had a penalty and Harry Kane went on to win the game.

West Ham are still in trouble as they are 1 point above relegation. Without Europe they need to focus on finishing in the top 10 otherwise it will be the end for Slaven Bilic. Will West Ham get relegated this season? Let me know on Twitter or the comments below.

Crystal Palace 1-2 Manchester City

Image result for crystal palace 1-2 man city

The return of Yaya Toure who he went on to score a brace to continue the misery for Alan Pardew.

He made it 1-0 with a smashing finish into the top corner when Nolito supplied the pass towards Yaya Toure. He’s one of the contenders for African footballer of the year 2016. Palace made it 1-1 with a good counter attack when Zaha played in a pass towards Connor Wickham with a nice finish passed Bravo.

But Toure, who has not figured at all for City for almost three months, had the final word when he turned home Kevin de Bruyne’s corner from close range. The win moves City second in the table, level on points with leaders Liverpool and with an identical goal difference.

Palace are in big trouble as they are the worse team of 2016 as they are even worse then two teams who got relegated from Football League 2. I think Pardew will get sacked soon if his run continues, but all I can say is thank you for Mile Jedinak who have been our best midfielder.

Brighton 1-1 Aston Villa

Glenn Murray

Glenn Murray scored his 10th goal this season as Brighton resisted a second-half Aston Villa onslaught to extend their unbeaten league run to 11 games. Also Villa are 6 games unbeaten as well.

We took the lead when Nathan Baker met an Albert Adomah free-kick with a fine flicked header to put Villa in front after 20 minutes. Well done Baker and I don’t know if Elphick will be in the team because Baker and Chester have be so solid since Steve Bruce has come in.

Murray responded by fizzing a low shot past goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini just before the break. Jonathan Kodjia hit the bar and David Stockdale made two crucial saves as Villa pressed for a second-half winner.

The game ends in a draw and we will extend our run and beat Cardiff City this weekend and climb the table. Steve Bruce has really organised with Chester being a good captain, Jedinak being our leader in the midfield and Kodija is on fire and your defence is terrified.  UTV!!!

Premier League 16/17 predictions #1

Hi guys Milan here and I have returned with the Premier League predictions for the first week of the season.

Hull City VS Leicester City

First game of the season will start with the the return of Hull City without Steve Bruce and the reining champions that are Leicester City. Vardy is Leicester’s only hope now as Kante is gone to Chelsea and Mahrez is likely to leave. Hull will struggle this season without Steve Bruce but they still have some decent players in that squad and they might surprise teams. They need to find a good manager that will tell the players to give it there all and keep them in the Premier League.

I think Leicester will win 3-1.

Burnley VS Swansea City

Burnley are back in the Premier League and I hope they stay because they was unlucky to get relegated and with a star player like Andre Gray they can rely on him to get the goals. Swansea lost Andre Ayew who was there top scorer last season which is a massive blow but with a striker like Llorente who knows where the back of the net is. But they are going to lose Ashley Williams to Everton which is massive to Swansea’a first team, but they are getting a new striker as well so they will get goals.

I think this will be a 1-1 draw.

Crystal Palace VS West Bromich Albion

Losing FA Cup finalist have been busy in the transfer window with some new players. Pardew has to make sure they don’t lose Bolasie to Everton because he is important to this Crystal Palace team. West Brom has to make sure he keeps Berahino at the club and also they need to play a different style of football instead of parking the bus and make things difficult for the opponent.

I think Palace will win comfortably 2-0.

Everton VS Tottenham Hotspur

Ronald Koeman is Everton’s new manager and they have already lost Stones but they are in for Williams which is a good signing for them. Everton will do well this season I think if they keep Lukaku then they will do well this season. Spurs on the other hand finished 3rd last season but for Kane and Alli having bad tournament for England I don’t know if they will return to good form.

I think Spurs will win 2-1 away to Everton.

Middlesbrough VS Stoke City

Boro are back in the Premier League and I’m happy to see a team return to the top flight of English football. They have made some good signings and I think they will survive in the Premier League. Last season this was the best Stoke City team I’ve seen in a long time under Mark Hughes. I think Stoke will finish higher then last season if they have some consistent form in games.

I think this will be a 2-1 win for Stoke City.

Southampton VS Watford

Without Koeman, Pelle, Mane and Wanyama I think Southampton might struggle. But I think they still have a good team and they can get results. Watford  on the other hand have a new manager and they might surprise teams again like they did with Ighalo and Deeney. I think Watford will have a relegation battle this season but I might be proven wrong.

I think it will it will be a 2-0 win for Southampton.

Manchester City VS Sunderland

Man City have ended their Pellegrini era and I think with Pep in charge Man City will play more quality football. Aguero will score goals to try carrying the team to the title again and the new signings will do well in this Premier League season. Sunderland is without Big Sam as he is now England manager, now they have David Moyes now and I think they might play good football under him.

I think Man City will win 4-0.

AFC Bournemouth VS Manchester United

Jose Mourinho will kick off his Premier League season at Manchester United and they have spend a lot of money on players. Ibrahimovic is in good form after scoring the winner against Leicester City in the FA Community Shield. Pogba returns to Man United (I’ve done a blog about that so check that out) and other players who are willing to win the title. Bournemouth is in their second season of the Premier League and I think they will struggle but we will see what happens.

I think Man United will win 3-0.

Arsenal VS Liverpool

This is a big game for both clubs and also bad news as well because both teams want to get off to a winning start. Arsenal needs to find a top class striker either partner Giroud or replace him. Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool team is in really good form as they smash Barcelona 4-0 which is unbelievable but then lost 4-0 to 04 Mainz which is embarrassing.

I think this game will be a 2-2 draw but I think Liverpool will snatch a late winner.

Chelsea VS West Ham United

Chelsea kick off their Antonio Conte era with a home game to West Ham. Kante will hopefully start because he’s a premier league winner and Michy Batshuayi in my opinion he will do well and could partner Diego Costa or just have one striker up front. West Ham will have to wait till they play there home game at the Olympic Stadium. Payet will be the star player hopefully and they might challenge for top 4.

I think Chelsea will win 2-1 against West Ham.

Transfer Rumour| Zlatan to the Premier League?

Hi guys Milan here and today I’m bringing back transfer rumours and today’s rumour is Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the premier League

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has admitted he is considering offers to move to the Premier League this summer. Arsenal have been offered the 34-year-old Swedish superstar a move to Arsenal while Jose Mourinho will move for Ibrahimovic if he gets the Manchester United job in the summer. Ibrahimovic is out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain this summer and fancies a move to England.

I think this would be good as I don’t mind which team he goes to as long we get to see one of the worlds best strikers if not the best striker in the world. He may be 34 years old but he still got the skills and technique and the most important attribute of Zlatan is that he’s got the required strength to do it in the Premier League.

Sweden striker Ibrahimovic, talking ahead if a friendly with Czech Republic, said: “Yes, there is interest from the Premier League, I can confirm that. “The Premier League is the league the world all people and fans speak about. “To make it very clear, there are no negotiations at all with PSG, I’m not going to represent them the coming season. I had four amazing years with them. “A lot of things have to feel fine when I’m going to take a decision this summer.”

Let me know which club will offer Zlatan a club because apparently he’s also being linked to go to LA Galaxy and also linked to moved back to AC Milan which will be quite interesting.

Hope you enjoy this blog and there will be more transfers in the near future that might come true. Stay followed for more football madness.

Semi Finals for English teams!!

Hi guys Milan here and this is a different blog about these results in Champions League, Europa League and the FA Cup. I’m going to talk about these English teams that made to the Semi Finals and their among the favorites to win the competitions in Europe and England.

Manchester City 1 – 0 (Agg 3-2)  Paris Saint-Germain

Manchester City are into the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time after Kevin de Bruyne’s late strike sealed a thrilling win over Paris St-Germain.

Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne scores for his side against PSG

After a 2-2 first-leg draw in Paris last week, the tie remained in the balance in Manchester thanks to Sergio Aguero’s missed penalty for City in the first half. The home side had Joe Hart to thank for three fine saves at 0-0, including a ferocious Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s free-kick that the England goalkeeper clawed to safety.

Joe Hart was voted man of the match for his performance in the 2nd leg. Kevin De Bruyne’s strike has taken Manchester City into the Champions League semi finals for the first time in their history.

West Ham United 1 – 2 Manchester United

Manchester United will face Everton in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley after showing class and then character to beat West Ham United.

Marcus Rashford gave Van Gaal’s men the lead in this quarter-final replay after 54 minutes, the 18-year-old collecting a pass from Anthony Martial before curling a magnificent finish into the top corner past West Ham keeper Darren Randolph. Rashford has serious talent and I think he will have a great start in his career at Manchester United with 6 goals in 11 starts for the 18 year old striker.

And when Marouane Fellaini bundled in a Martial cross 13 minutes later it looked all over for West Ham. But then Payet’s corner met the head of Andy Carroll and he head it toward Tomkins to make it 2-1.

David De Gea was voted Man of the Match in that game with his world class saves to deny West Ham to get the goals in the back of the net.

Liverpool 4 – 3 (Agg 5-4) Borussia Dortmund

Liverpool staged one of the most dramatic comebacks Anfield has seen to overcome Borussia Dortmund in a classic and reach the Europa League semi-finals.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were twice left needing three goals to go through in the face of Dortmund’s rapier attacks – but climbed the mountain twice with Dejan Lovren’s 90th minute header from James Milner’s cross to make Liverpool’s night so special and one of the best comebacks in Europe.

Anfield commemorated the 27th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster, in which 96 supporters died, with an minute’s silence before kick-off. Followed by a thriller that will be recalled for generations for sheer excitement and a final whistle that sent Anfield wild. Because to play with such character because of the disaster and went on to win the game is something special and I think Liverpool will go on to win this competition, that’s if they beat Villarreal in the Semi final.

I hope you enjoyed this blog and I’ll be uploading more football madness in the near future.

Premier League Predictions #7

Hi guys Milan here and this is my predictions for this weekend’s premier league games. Haven’t done this in a while and I thought I should bring it back, I do apologize for that.

Everton VS Arsenal

This game should be a good game between Everton who have been impressive so far after beating Chelsea in the FA Cup to be in the semi finals and Arsenal who have been knocked out by Watford and more likely to get knocked out by Barcelona and then they can focus on the title so this crucial for Arsene Wenger as if they don’t win the title then it might be the end of an era for Wenger as Arsenal manager.

So I think this game will be a 2-1 win for Everton.

Chelsea VS West Ham United

West Ham beat Chelsea 2-1 in the first fixture between them this season when Mourinho was in charge. Now he is been sacked and Guus Hiddink in charge and they are undefeated in the Premier League. With Chelsea knocked out of the FA Cup they can focus on getting Europa League place but they have to face West Ham who are contender of finishing top 4 (in my opinion).

I think this game will be a 2 -2 draw.

Crystal Palace VS Leicester City

This game should be crucial for Leicester if they want to stay top of the table and I have a feeling they are afraid of Spurs catching them up instead of Man City. Mahrez and Vardy are the main men scoring and assisting to win matches but I think Kante and Drinkwater are crucial players as well as they get the tackles in to make sure the opposition doesn’t create chances. Palace who are in the Semi Final of the FA Cup which is good for the club but they have yet to win in their last 9 games in the Premier League.

I think Leicester will win 3 – 1 this weekend.

Watford VS Stoke City

Two teams who are in good form at the moment with Watford facing Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi final and Stoke City who are challenging for Europa League spot under Mark Hughes. Deeney and Ighalo has slowed down this season but they are still scoring goals to make sure Watford stays in the Premier League. Stoke with the likes of Bojan, Shaqiri, Arnautovic and Diouf to lead the attack they can damage the defence of Watford.

I think Stoke will win 2-1.

West Brom Albion VS Norwich City

This game in my opinion has 0-0 written all over the game as these two team is inconsistent. West Brom are looking impressive in their recent games and Norwich are in the bottom three and they finally get a clean sheet against Man City, but they still have a sloppy defence. West Brom has Rondon, Sessengnon and Berahino as the front three and they are looking more attacking then the previous months into the Premier League.

I think this game will be a 1-1 draw.

Swansea City VS Aston Villa

This is interesting because Swansea beat us 2 – 1 at Villa Park and Tim Sheerwood got sacked so this is a time for revenge. Aston Villa are my team and I really hope we will win the game even though we won’t survive this season. Swansea are looking impressive under Guidolin as they are 8 points from safety. The game against Spurs was an even game even though we lost 2- 0. Jordan Ayew needs to step up and we need to get the crosses in for Rudy Gestede to create chances and our defense needs to be more switched on and our full backs need to track back when defending a counter attack.

I think Aston Villa will win 1 – 0.

Newcastle United VS Sunderland

The derby is here and it will be the first home game for Rafael Benitez the new Newcastle manager (If you miss my blog about his appointment check out the blog about him on my page below). The game against Leicester which they lost 1 – 0  but they would the better team in my opinion and I can see the confidence in the team. Sunderland who have been poor but a win against Newcastle may guarantee survival for Sunderland and relegation for Newcastle.

I think Newcastle will win 3 – 1.

Southampton VS Liverpool

This is a game where a team has bought the players of the other team. What I mean by this is that Liverpool are the team that buys the players of Southampton like Clyne, Lovren, Lallana etc. This game could be interesting as both teams are challenging for Europa League spot as Southampton is 7th and Liverpool is 8th. Coutinho, Firmino, Benteke and Sturridge are the players Southampton has to watch out for. Pelle who is back in form with Tadic, Long and Mane will be the danger men for the Saints.

I think Liverpool will win 3-2.

Manchester City VS Manchester United

The Manchester Derby has arrived this weekend, last time it was 0 – 0 and it was boring. This time I want to experience drama and goals from both sides. Man City who are in the quarter finals of the Champions League for the first time whereas United gets knocked out by Liverpool in the Europa League. Is Van Gaal on the verge of getting sacked? After getting knocked out by Liverpoolin the Europa League and drew West Ham in the FA Cup and it will be a replay soon so all pressure in on United and Louis Van Gaal.

I think this derby will be a 2-2 draw.

Tottenham Hotspur VS AFC Bournemouth

After been knocked out by Dortmund in the Europa League, Spurs need to make sure they are still in the title race. Bournemouth who are in my opinion gonna survive this season and they are the credit to the Premier League with their amazing team spirit. Spurs are looking impressive with a strong and fast back four, a strong midfield with the likes of Chadli, Eriksen, Lamela, Son etc all performing and then man to lead the attack that is Harry Kane.

I think Spur will comfortably win 3-1.

Hope you enjoy this blog on my predictions. Follow my blog for more football madness.

My Best AVFC Eleven

Hi guys Milan here and I’m doing a blog about my best eleven for my team Aston Villa.

(GK) Thomas Sørensen

I went for him because he was a good shot stopper for our team under Martin O’Neil when we always finish 6th or 7th. He saved us points for us when we had a good defense. I would choose Guzan as he’s also a good keeper but at the moment his form is shaky and I feel bad that the defense we have at the moment is terrible.  It was sad to see Thomas go on a free transfer to Stoke and we was left with two of the worst keepers that are Scott Carson and Stuart Taylor.

(CB) Jores Okore and Olof Mellberg

I’ve choose Okore because he’s one of our best defenders so far and he quick, strong  and I trust him more in that position then Clark. Clark just needs to toughen up and if he’s there with Okore they will be unstoppable.

Next to him I have “The Viking” Olof Mellberg he was a quality defender and a real leader in the defence. He was there for 7 years and I was there on his last game before he moved to Juventus. When a big clubs comes in on one of our players then you know they are good. Mellberg the Swedish rock at the back is next to Okore.

(RB) Micah Richards

I’ve chose him because he’s been our captain this season so far and I would of choose Bacuna but it was close to pick but I pick Micah instead. He’s quick, strong, shows leadership and he’s from Birmingham which mean he’s a local lad.

(LB) Jordan Amavi

I feel bad the kid for missing out of the rest of the season with an injury but I think next season will make him stronger and better then ever. He’s quick and he’s got agility and a tiny bit of strength. He can also cross into the box to players like Gestede and (LAZY) Kosak.

(CDM) Garath Barry

Came through the ranks and he was one of our best CDM alongside Petrov and he helped us save so many points and finish in Europa League spots. When he left for Manchester City I was sad as we give him so much as Villa. Gareth Barry I love you man come back to us soon!

(CM) Stiliyan Petrov

The player is one of the most loved Villa players of all time as he suffered from cancer. Every 19 minutes we clap in honour of him as the number on his shirt is 19. He’s now recovered and he is still loved by the Villa fans and he a legend in a claret and blue shirt.

(LW) Ashley Young

He was loved at Aston Villa as he’s been our best player under Martin O’neil. When O’neil left Young went to Manchester United and he won titles for them and got a reputation for on the pitch diving. He was brilliant and I hope he gets his form back soon as he’s still fast and a proper winger.

(RW) Carles Gil

Carles Gil is a magician on the field when he arrived last season in January I was excited as we got a new attacker. When he scored his first goal against Bournemouth in the FA Cup last season I went metal at the TV screen. The problem with him is that he gets knocked of the ball a lot, he needs to hit the gym to gain strength and he can combine that with his dribbling skills to be an established winger for Villa.

(ST) Christian Benteke

This player was loved by the Aston Villa supporters as he can score all types of goals. He’s got the strength to score in the Premier League, he can bring other players into play and head the ball in the back of the net when it’s crossed in by either Bacuna or Delph when he was at Villa. Now he’s at Liverpool playing European football and I still like the guy but I hope his career goes into the right direction.

(ST) Juan Pablo Angel

This player was an unbelievable player when he can score all types of goals like Benteke. He’s a great striker for us even though we didn’t win anything at that time but we finish top 6 every season. It would be great if we get a player that plays like him but we will see.

Honourable mentions: Agbonlahor, Reo-Coker, Laursen, Baros, Jordan Ayew, Dwight Yorke, Dalian Atkinson.

Hope you enjoy this blog something different for a change but I’ll upload a predictions video for this weekends Premier League game. Follow my blog for football madness.
