Sheffield United 2-0 Aston Villa| Can we question Dean Smith?

I expected this from us, after the humiliating defeat to Leicester the team is lacking confidence and facing a Sheffield side who have more confidence then us and what makes it worse about this defeat, it’s the manner of our loss.

45 minutes against a team that in the last time it was 3-3 and we had no shots on target that’s embarrassing from the level that we expect from Villa. It was the same 4-3-3, sideways passing and no killer instinct, the same as we saw for the last 3 games and Dean Smith refuses to change anything.

Don’t get me wrong I love Dean Smith, they way he shows his passion for the club and how he has change the whole mood of the fans and got us promoted to the promise land and hopefully he can take the club forward. But wow I can’t rate any manager if they don’t have a plan B, I know 4-3-3 is his main formation he uses and for while it has worked with the 2-0 wins over Everton and Newcastle and the 5-1 over Norwich which was fantastic, but lately he’s kinda made us play so safe like McGinn doesn’t run in the box any more he passes side to side and loses the ball quite a lot and I know people can make the excuse “he’s tired”. He’s an athlete that gets paid very well and he played more minutes for us last season so it’s not an excuse.

He also refuses to play two strikers and plays Grealish with McGinn because the partnership they had and great chemistry as well. Maybe Kodija and Wesley can work together, maybe a striker in January to compliment Wesley to give more options for attack. We made Fleck look like Xavi which was embarrassing considering the the size of Aston Villa to have a very poor performance. Many people have been on the social media calling for Dean Smith to get sacked, and I know he deserved a bit of criticism but with just signing a new 4 year contract he can’t be sacked soon, but with Southampton, Watford and Norwich coming up that will define his future and our chances of survival.

Let’s get behind the boys for 90 minutes and hope for good results to lift the mood of our fans UTV!!

Premier League 19/20 Predictions

Image result for premier league

Yet again every year I’ll do a prediction on this upcoming season of The Premier League and finally Aston Villa are in this prediction after 3 years which is amazing to see, so here is the 2019/20 Premier League Predictions from 20th to 1st and don’t forget, it’s my opinion.

20th – Sheffield United

This could go one way for me, as I think they will struggle in the top league as in terms of scoring goals and also the defence will struggle. I rate the manager in Chris Wilder and rate some of the players there like Billy Sharp but with the signings of Jagielka and Ravel Morrison are not like the players to keep them up in my opinion.

19th – Brighton & Hove Albion

I don’t understand how you can get rid of a manager in Chris Hughton who kept Brighton up for two seasons and a FA Cup semi-final but still get the sack. Graham Potter is the new manager after doing okay at Swansea last season, but I feel that the organisation of the defence that Hughton did will disintegrate this season coming.

18th – Norwich City

Norwich are back in the Premier League and in all honesty they will go down again as every-time they go up they will go down as their defense always let themselves down and lets the fans down as well. They’ve got decent players that did really well in winning the championship but the Premier League is very different, so I wish them luck.

17th –  Burnley

They have really took the piss over the last few seasons where they would be bad but not shit enough to get relegated. I’m not a fan of Sean Dyche and his football, Ashley Barnes is a bit of a prick and also Westwood is still shit. They may go down this season but I’m putting them at 17th just because that they have a little more quality then the teams that will go down.

16th – Crystal Palace

Just like Burnley, they are not shit enough to get relegated but without Wifred Zaha they are one of the favorites to go down. Not a fan of the football they play, and they do have some decent players but without Zaha, I don’t know how they will do without their Talisman who could go to Arsenal or Everton.

15th – Newcastle United

Jesus Christ, where do I start with them. Got rid of their best manager in Rafa Benitez, Rondon and Perez and Joselu are gone. Steve Bruce have been appointed and it hasn’t gone well as the fans don’t like him but with the signing of Joelinton will add quality up-front but they still need more business done.

14th – Watford

Watford will have a decent season compared to last season where they were in the FA Cup final against Man City. They will have a good season still with Deeney leading the lines for them, they haven’t done much business this window, but that won’t faze them as they can come up with some surprises.

13th – Bournemouth

Another season I believe Bournemouth are staying up this season because they have been an absolute pleasure to watch them grow as a club in the Premier League from what they were to who they are. Eddie Howe is a manager I rate massively and so of the players like Wilson, Fraser and King will been key for them to score the goals to stay up.

12th – Southampton

It will be a better season for the saints after signing to strikers in Danny Ings and Che Adams. I like their manager and some of the players need to step up but not too much as over the years, players having a really good season may on their way to clubs like Liverpool, Man United etc, so hopefully Southampton will have a solid season.

11th – West Ham United

With the signings of Haller and Fonals will be exciting times for West Ham fans as they may get a chance to get in Europe once again. But they can be inconsistent at times where they can beat the likes of Chelsea but they can lose to teams like Norwich and Crystal Palace. They will have a good season still but they do need to step up in terms of achieving silverware and qualifying for Europe.

10th – Everton

Another team who are inconsistent at times and they haven’t proven to fans and fans of football, that they have what it takes to make it in Europe or top 4 which is what the owners want. Signing Zaha will give him that boost but they need a clinical striker to replace Lukaku and they haven’t got that striker yet so they need to sort that out as soon as possible.

9th – Leicester City

Brendan Rodgers have spent some money in the summer, and they can compete for Europe and they can repeat the success of winning the league by qualifying for Europa League which what they should be challenging for. Vardy, Maddison, Perez etc will fire Leicester in a positive position in the table and they can be dark horses again.

8th – Aston Villa

But one team will finish above them and that is Aston Villa. I know this could be all bullshit and we could finish below 8th or do a Fulham and get relegated, but with the players we have bought like Wesley, Trezeguet, Douglas Luiz, Bjorn Engels etc and there is some optimism from the fans and we can compete if the team can gel and make Villa Park a fortress.

7th – Wolves

Unfortunately Wolves will finish above Villa and simply because they are on the up of finishing in Europe or top 4 which will be huge for a club like Wolves. I rate their manager Nuno, and they have some quality players like Neves, Jimenez, Docherty, Jota that can hurt teams and they will be dark horses again.

6th – Chelsea

Reason why I put Chelsea 6th, simply because their squad is not big enough to handle the Champions League, also their transfer ban doesn’t help but Frank Lampard will finally see the potential of the Chelsea youngsters like Abraham, Mount etc that can surprise teams on their day.

5th – Manchester United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will get sacked by Christmas, as I don’t know how you can over spend on Wan Bissaka and Maguire and miss out on loads of players that can make a difference. They still are nowhere near winning the league and I think they will struggle again and miss out on top 4 again.

4th – Tottenham Hotspur

Champions League runners-up last season and their only chance to grab a trophy that they have been hoping for a decade. Spurs have spent well in the window but no trophies means the likes of Kane, Son Eriksen and Dele Alli will leave them short so Pochettino is on serious pressure to get the club winning again.

3rd – Arsenal

Yet again I’ve put Arsenal 3rd even though they fucked it up last season, but they have strengthen in the right areas this window with the likes of David Luiz, Nicolas Pepe, Dani Ceballos, Kieran Tierney and youngster Martinelli. So promising for Arsenal and they can do damage this season.

2nd – Liverpool

Last season runners up and European champions which is great way to finish the season but, they can try again to win the league again but they haven’t really got anybody in and they could struggle in depth in the attack if Firmino or Salah get injured. I rate Jurgen Klopp as no one gives him the credit he deserves at times but maybe they can win more in the future.

1st – Manchester City

What can I say about Manchester Oil Money City with the best squad, best manager and they invest in players as well so they look unstoppable and they will make the league boring.

That the predictions done, and I hope for a great season of drama, glory and passion and hope for Villa to kick on as a big club again UTV.

Aston Villa 3-3 Sheffield United|What. A. Comeback!!!

Andre Green

Well I have no words to describe this Friday night match because, It’s either we were shit or they were shit but fuck it’ I’ll take a point but really and truly it should of been 3 points.

First half we was 100% dogshit from the fouls the desire and the passing especially from Hourihane who was terrible. He’s only good at taking free kicks and 2 metre passes that’s it. Clumsy when he takes corners, and clumsy from long range passing. The same with Jedinak who made it quite clear that he’s not good enough for Dean Smith’s squad at all. Billy Sharp made it 1-0 and he’s in form at the moment with him and Tammy Abraham both close to 20 goals in the Championship, and if Sheffield United win they will go top on goal difference ahead of Norwich and Leeds.

Second half started and we came out still playing like shit and the referee and linesman were both at fault for the second goal in which Sharp was offside when the initial shot was saved by Kalinic who had a decent game to be fair to him, a header hit the post and Kalinic had both hands on the ball and Sharp caught the ball and his hands to make it 2-0 and it was never a goal. If that goal didn’t stand then it could of been 3-2 but that’s not a bit fair because we only started fighting for the last 10 minutes of the game. Hutton yet again was the mistake for the third goal and Sharp collected his hat-trick and again Hutton should fuck off and he’s not good enough and he’s stealing a living like Richards.

We got one goal back when Mings heads it in to make it 3-1 and after the incident in Reading his performance was superb and he’s been brilliant again last night. I thought that’s are only goal but then Abraham made it 3-2 and I thought surely not we left it late to fight back. But out of nowhere, super-sub Andre Green leaps up and heads it in to make it 3-3 and Villa Park went absolutely mental as we was bad but Sheffield United were bad as how can they fuck up a 3-0 lead with 8 minutes left and they’ve given Norwich and Leeds an opportunity to take control of the league table.

Some positives to come out from this as Mings and Elphick were brilliant together and Green came on and made an instant impact as he scored the equaliser. A win is what we needed and we keep getting draws and they won’t help us this season as I’ve now said that we won’t make play-offs as it will take a miracle to get this defence sorted and get into the top 6 by the end of March. We showed a lot of character and fight to fight back from being 3-0 down but really we didn’t deserve anything from this game but I’ll take a point rather then no points, so we move on to Wednesday with Brentford and the big one against West Brom on Saturday UTV!!!!

Aston Villa 1-2 Sheffield Wednesday|Owners, listen to us, Sack Steve Bruce

Well all I can say is what did I say in the last blog. In the last blog I said the win over Rotherham is only papering over the cracks over Steve Bruce’s future and now he is on the verge of getting sacked.

I knew this will happen and it’s the same old Steve Bruce shit football and I’m sick to death of it. Like I’ve been saying for the last few blogs that he’s a dinosaur, he has no plan B and he is clutching his way so he can tell the fans to shut the fuck up and I will prove you all wrong. Blaming the fans rather then himself in which he’s been doing that for a while now, and then I heard that he will never walk away, but in reality the owners will give him the sack and there’s nothing he can do about it,

It started with us being slow and Sheffield winning every ball and we should of got punished but we made it to the first half with the score 0-0. How many times have we seen us dominate by the opposition and how many times we have gone to 0-0 half times, we are pathetic and scared and I don’t understand why Steve Bruce has all the creativity in his disposal and they don’t create or attack like we use to see under Martin O’Neil and even under Tim Sherwood when he first came in we would attack, have a go and give 110% before we got relegated. Steve Bruce has had two years to develop a squad to compete and get us out of this league and every-time we see us going backwards and we have not made any progression under him, and don’t say “we got in the play off final and lost” because that’s not progression.

Progression is Steve Bruce and his staff to leave the club and then we can progress and move forward. Second half started and we had one of the worst starts as 4 minutes in and we went 1-0 down and it was expected as we made no shots on target in the first half (Again). But then our first shot on target was worth a wait as Super John Mcginniesta scored one of the goals of the season (if not THE best goal of the season) with one of the most difficult volley’s a footballer can do, as he turns his body and puts his laces on it and thundertwats it off the crossbar and in and it was in front of the Holte End and it was magical. But it was only short lived as our defence was shambolic as Steve Fletcher heads it past Nyland to make it 2-1 and what did we do. Fuck ALL!!!

I remember when back then I was saying Steve Bruce needs to go and these Bruce In brainless fans always abuse me calling me, Dickhead, “fake fan”, “go die” all that rubbish. Now I’m still saying and now people are finally realising that I was right all along and now we all want him gone. There are managers available, take your pick as Bilic, Raneiri, Koeman etc that have better credentials then Steve Bruce and his time is done and he should of gone in May after the play-off final. So owners please listen to us as we need a breath of fresh air as we need a new manager to give us optimism and hope that we can get us out this league because with Bruce in charge we are going nowhere.

If you enjoy this blog/ rant then make sure you like and follow and let’s hope he gets the sack.

Sheffield United 4-1 Aston Villa| Sack Bruce Now!!!!

Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce

What can I say about this and how can I defend our performance but all I want to say is congratulations to Sheffield United who outplayed us and was first to every ball and they played a better brand of football to make their fans happy.

But let’s talk about Villa they were disgraceful, absolute disgraceful, everyone on that pitch apart from Nyland and El Ghazi were the only players to come out and apologise to the fans but then you got Steve Bruce saying “I do know what I’m doing” and when I heard that I just laughed. He has no clue what he is doing when he is playing Jedinak as a CB, Tuanzebe as a RB and loaning Elphick and Green out. I’m sick to death of his excuses and I want to hear his excuse of dropping Bjarnason who was brilliant against Reading for Whelan who has been shite since he came to our club.

Never in my life have I been less confident in a Villa VS Sheff United game and I was speaking to other fans and they say the same thing “We will lose”, some fans put “We will win” but I feel they was feeling optimistic but we all know we will lose considering how poor we have been this season. I knew a defeat will come round the corner and this defeat has exposed the dinosaur that is Steve Bruce. I don’t even want to talk about the game because it was no point talking about our chances because at half time we was 3-0 down!! Don’t talk to me about Jack Grealish because he is only playing for himself okay don’t give me stats about his pass completion because has he assisted someone. No. Has he score goals. No. Also has he played well. No, so don’t gas up about Grealish because he needs to step up and be our talisman

Rumours of John Terry returning to the club to save Steve Bruce at Aston Villa but let’s be honest, we will all be very glad if he comes back because Jedinak is useless but it will paper over cracks for Steve Bruce’s future at this club because he can’t take us forward where we need to be. We need a new manager with new ideas because we have a squad we can build on with the new owners with ambitions. We have an international break now so we can hope the boys come back with desire and we can get back on track with the season.

Sheffield Wednesday 2-4 Aston Villa| I love being proved wrong!!!

Aston Villa celebrate a goal by Lewis Grabban (right)

This has made my day this is why I love football as it can make you feel down when you lose but then a certain change when the team you support turn it round and win the game to make you feel happy emotions.

As the title said “I loved being proved wrong”  because I said the team selection was wrong from the players that started and it got off to the worst start when Clare found the bottom corner brilliantly and we was 1-0 down, but we responded with a couple of scuffles in the box but Grabban stabbed it in to make it 1-1 which made me relax. Grabban is gonna be a help to us when there’s 2 months left of the season and we need to keep pressure on Cardiff. Then I was worred when Lucus Joao (which was one of the players we need to watch) made it 2-1 just before half time but we was still in that game which was good.

Second half starts and suddenly we put so much pressure on Sheff Wed and it paid off and I have to say this, Sheffield Wednesday how can you let Glenn Whelan score. It’s ironic because there’s people who hate it when I criticised Glenn Whelan but I don’t think he does a better job then Jedinak and Bjarnason. He can’t pass, cant tackle and doesn’t protect the defence in Terry and Chester. Then it was 3-2 not to Sheffield Wednesday but to Aston Villa when the ball fall to Conor Hourihane who hits it on the half-volley into the bottom corner and then passion he showed and what that goal meant to us is that we don’t have a never say die attitude which I feel we haven’t had that in a while. It was made 4-2 when Snodgrass converted his penalty from the spot and it was an amazing comeback from the boys.

This is why I love football because it can gives you feeling that you will never have when you your team is losing and they comeback and win the game. Let’s hope this can mean for when we fight for 2nd to avoid the tough teams that are in the Play-off’s and we would need to invest heavily in the squad when we are in the Premier League UTV!!

Sheffield United 0-1 Aston Villa| Snodgrass!!!!!

Aston Villa's Robert Snodgrass

It was a hard game but it was down to some magic from Snodgrass to give us three points, and we are currently third in the table.

I knew this was a massive win for us to maintain the position and catch Derby who dropped more points to Millwall so we need to keep going. We named the same team as we have done in the last few games and I was confident we will win the game.

Well I say I was confident but in the first half Sheffield United were the better team and Sam Johnstone kept us in the game with some unbelievable saves and I want us to go for him in the summer because he’s been fantastic with another clean sheet this season. This result is fitting to Steve Bruce personally because hearing that he’s been having a tough time for his family so I hope he get’s better soon.

Second half kicked off and we started to grow into the game and the lads all were brilliant. Grealish was brilliant, Hogan was becoming a nonsense for defenders, Bjarnason again was immense in passing, tackling and he worked his socks off. The one player I think had a bad game was Adomah because his crossing was pretty bad last night and I feel he needs to improve on that but I still think he will improve and be important to us this season

But there’s one man who transformed the mood of the away fans from agony to ecstasy and that man was Robert Snodgrass. Bjarnason played out wide to Snodgrass and then he cut inside on the right and he produced some magic as he curled in a beautiful shot past the goal keeper in the last minute of the game and the away fans went absolutely crazy. Snodgrass has been phenomenal this season with 5 goals, 9 assists and we should buy him in the summer from West Ham.

The next 2 games are Burton Albion and the derby as well with Birmingham City so we can keep the winning streak going because Derby are the only team we can catch in order to reach automatic promotion towards the Premier League UTV!!!

Aston Villa 2-0 Sheffield Wednesday| Revenge from the first game of the season.

Jonathan Kodjia (left)

All I can say is Revenge is Sweet as remember from my last review when we lost 1-0 to them and now we won 2-0 which is our fourth win in 5 games.

Obviously I am delighted with this result as I’m looking forward to next season as I have purchased a season ticket to what this great club that is Aston Villa. First half started and we had a blow which is Henri Lansbury swapped out for Gardiner because he picked a knock in the warm up which is a big blow.

Wednesday had some good chances and had a goal which was ruled offside which was a relief around Villa Park, also they had chances and Johnstone did well to keep a clean sheet and Chester was brilliant today. The first goal came when a short corner played to Hourihane who crossed it in to Kodija who heads it brilliantly in the corner and it was 1-0 to us and we had more control and we could of scored more goals in the half.

Second half started and we suffered another injury to Nathan Baker who has been brilliant this season and it was replaced by someone who’s career has been revived by Steve Bruce in Alan Hutton and he put in a good shift as a CB. The game was dragging a bit and it went our way as Wednesday went down to 10 men as a defender caught Hourihane really late ad we had a chance to kill the game off. We did kill the game off as Adomah puts through Kodija who went round the keeper and a lovely composed finish to give us 3 points.

We need to keep pushing a hopefully finish top 10 and always look high and hopefully next season we will go back to where we belong which is the Premier League UTV!!!

Sheffield Wednesday 1 – 0 Aston Villa review| It’s not the end of the world

Hi guys Milan here and Villa have lost the first game of the new season 1-0 to Sheffield Wednesday.

To be honest I’m not really mad about the result I’m just gutted because I knew it would be a tough game as Wednesday are a decent team.

First half starts and Wednesday were dominating us it we had some new faces in the lineup like Gollini, McCormack and Tshibola when he come on as a sub and one man I think who was man of the match for me and it’s Tommy Elphick. He was brilliant and shows more fight and determination then Lescott last season.

Second half starts and we were better this half but there was weaknesses in the midfield and I don’t think Gary Gardiner was good enough and I think Veretout and Tshibola should start in a 3 man midfield with Westwood.

The goal came when Gollini mad a mistake when he sliced his clearence and Forestieri went through and slots it past him and I feel sorry for him. Villa fans were blaming him for the goal but I’m defending him because he’s 21 years old and it was his first official game and I think he will learn from his mistakes.

I think we will get results in the next few weeks and we will get better hope so.

I hope you enjoy this blog and follow my blog for more football madness
