Premier League 16/17 Predictions #2

Hi guys Milan here and my second predictions blog for this season of Premier League, and we have loads of football coming up this weekend.

Tottenham VS Liverpool

This is a big game for both teams as Spurs got a good 1-0 win over Crystal Palace and apparently they will play at Wembley as their stadium that is White Hart Lane is getting refurbished. Liverpool on the other hand got humped by newly promoted Burnley who won 2-0. But they did get confidence when they won 5-0 against Burton Albion in the EFL Cup with the return of Daniel Sturridge.

I think it will be a 2-1 win for Liverpool.

Chelsea VS Burnley

Chelsea looking like the dark horse in the title race with 2 win out of 2 in the league and a good 3-2 win in the EFL Cup. Diego Costa is like Marmite you either love him or hate him because he should of got sent of in both games and also he scored in both games as well. Burnley getting a massive win over Liverpool 2-0 and they might surprise Chelsea but to be honest I don’t think they will.

I think Chelsea will win 3-0.

Crystal Palace VS Bournemouth

Both teams who have lost their opening 2 games of the season and they need to kick of their season otherwise they might be doomed. Pardew is in trouble with the way he sold a few big players and now with Benteke in the team he might help them to get goals and results to stay in the league. Bouremouth who are struggling but they are a decent team when going forward with Wilson, Ibe and Kind but it’s the defence that is a blow.

I think this game will be a 1-1 draw.

Everton VS Stoke City

Everton looking a lot more solid at the back but with Williams out with injury they need to make sure they get a result against Stoke this weekend. Stoke havent got the win they need so far this season and I think they will turn up at Goodision Park, but if it ws at Stoke’s ground I would say Stoke will win. It depends if Bolasie, Lukaku and Barkley can rip Stoke apart.

I think this game will be a 2-2 draw.

Leicester City VS Swansea City

The champions need to step up right now after losing 2-1 to hull and a poor result against Arsenal which ended 0-0. Vardy needs to start scoring and Mahrez needs to improve. I can tell they needed Kante in the midfield and they havent got him. Swansea has had some rocky results lately and I think they will get goals from Baston and Llorente.

I think Leicester will win 2-0.

Southampton VS Sunderland

Memories of this fixture goes back when the saints beat Sunderland 8-0.  Southampton need to get results in as Claude Puel will motivates his team to win this weekend. Sunderland who have no wins so far this season and already David Moyes says it’s a relegation battle for Sunderland this season.

I think Southampton will win 2-1.

Watford VS Arsenal

Watford have had a bad week as they lost to Chelsea and then get knocked out in the EFL Cup by Gillingham who are in League two. Watford need to get something out of this game but it will be hard. Arsenal need to get a positive result today as they lost 4-3 to Liverpool and then a 0-0 draw against Leicester. Wenger needs to answer his critics from the fans and the media. They need to sign players like a striker and a centre back to challenge for the title.

I think Arsenal will win 1-0.

Hull City VS Manchester United

Hull continue their unbelievable start to the season with 2 wins out of 2 and can they keep up and maintain themselves to stay in the Premier League. Manchester United are looking brilliant so far with Ibrahimović in brilliant form and he will terrorize the Hull City defense. Pogba had a great debut but can he maintain his form so far?

I think United will win 3-0.

West Brom VS Middlesbrough

West Brom needs to play good football in order to get results. The win against Palace was a good start but it’s not enough. Boro have been brilliant so far with a win over their rivals Sunderland 2-1 and I think they can surprise West Brom.

I think Boro will win 1-0.

Manchester City VS West Ham United

With the Champions League draw announced, they need to be focused on either challenging for the title or do well in domestic like FA Cup or Champions League. West Ham who are crashed out of the Europa League they won’t have any problems playing on a Thursday so they can challenge for top 5.

I think this game will be a 2-1 win for Man City.

Manchester United appointed Jose Mourinho!!

Mourinho has an option to stay at the club until at least 2020

Hi guys Milan here and Manchester United have appointed Jose Mourinho as the next manger of Manchester United.

He replaces Louis van Van Gaal, who was dismissed on Monday, two days after the club’s FA Cup win at Wembley. Mourinho, 53 years of age, has been out of work since being sacked as Chelsea boss in December after a nightmare start.

Jose Mourinho won three league titles in his two spells at Chelsea, also led Real Madrid to the Spanish title in 2012, and guided Porto and Inter Milan to league titles, cups and trebles These titles makes him one of the top managers in the world.

What went wrong with Louis Van Gaal in his time at Old Trafford?

Well first off he spent so much money in transfers in his 2 years at United and they are playing poor quality football and not challenging for the title.

Also his signings I’ve questioned like signing Di Maria from Real Madrid for £59.6 Million which is a British transfer record. He had a good start but then it collapsed after Van Gaal starts Ashley Young ahead of Di Maria and he felt unsecured in Manchester, that’s why he left to PSG to become successful.

What will Mourinho bring to Old Trafford?

He will bring a new style of play to United and better then how Man United played under Van Gaal. Some players will leave like Carrick, Jones, Rojo etc. He will bring in players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is linked to come to United and maybe some players will come in and become successful.

Is this a good appointment? I think it’s a good choice in management and I think it will lead United to success.

Manchester United VS Crystal Palace – FA Cup Final Review

Hi Guys Milan here and Manchester United have won the FA Cup beating Crystal Palace 2-1 in extra time. First I want to make sure you follow palaceweekly where if your a palace fan this blogger will keep you up to date with the results. Also I feel bad for him as his team lost to Man United so please follow him it will mean a lot to him.

First half started and to be honest it was 0-0 and it was so boring nd I nearly went to sleep it was that bad, but really in my opinion Palace should be ahead after Wickham out strength Smalling and went to score but the referee stop the play and it was a free kick for Palace and the goal was disallowed. Really it wasnt a foul from Smalling or Wickham so the referee should of played on and Palace would be in the lead.

Second half starts and it was better and not boring for a change as both teams had chances especially United with Martial and Fellaini hitting the woodwork. Then Palace took the lead with Jason Puncheon who hit his volley so perfect as it beats De Gea and that volley from Puncheon was like Mark Hughes in his prime. Then a few minutes later Rooney went on run really well and crossed it in to Fellaini which he chest it down and Mata hit the ball first time perfectly to make it 1-1.

Extra time started at Wembley and it went bad for Man United as Chris Smalling gets sent off for dragging Bolasie down like a rugby tackle. If he done that for England in the euros I will go mental. The the second half of extra time kicked off and Manchester United took the lead through Jesse Lingard with an absolute wonder volley from hell as he hits it first time into the top corner and United went on to win the FA Cup (First time since 2004 and first major trophy since Sir Alex Ferguson retired).

What’s next for LVG or Louis Van Gaal, well we all know now that Jose Mourinho will be appointed as new Man United manager. I think it’s now good for Van Gaal as he has now finally won a trophy with Manchester United and it was the 2016 FA Cup.

The Recap of Football #1

Hi guys Milan here and this a new thing called The Recap of Football where I will be talking about some games on the weekend that would be interesting to talk about.

Aston Villa 2 – 4 Southampton

First let’s talk about the bad vibes that is my team Aston Villa who lost 4-2 at home to Southampton. This game was weird for me because I’m not going to blame everyone because these attackers were okay in this game but the defense was poor as ever with Lescott and Bacuna being terrible in that game and I think they need to go along with Hutton and Richardson. In my opinion next season we need to build a defense around this one center back that is Ciaran Clark who is a future captain for Aston Villa.

Dusan Tadic scored two and Shane Long scored the most easiest goal I’ve seen with Lescott leaving him in so much space. Ashley Westwood scored two good goals and I think we should keep him in next season. We always have kids playing like Grealish but this kid comes on as a sub called Kevin Toner who got an assist for Westwood second goal and he was decent in the second half.

Leicester City 4 – 0 Swansea

This game has just shown us that without Vardy Leicester can still be as a team together as they won 4-0 at home with Mahrez who was voted PFA Player of the Year which is fully deserved and he is the first African player to win it, so players like Okocha, Drogba even Yaya Toure didn’t win it but Mahrez did which is amazing for football. Ulloa scored two in that game and Albrighton the former Villa player scored.

All they need to do is beat Manchester United and they are crowned the 2015/16 Premier League champions for the first time. It will be amazing for football to see a team who was about to get relegated last season but they survived, and to see them 7 points clear from Spurs and loads of points clear from Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Tottenham Hotspur 1 – 1 West Brom

All I have to say from this game is that Spurs looks like they have ruined their chance to catch Leicester for now and West Brom did Leicester a favor so when they go to Old Trafford they have the chance to win the league if they beat Man United. Worse for Spurs is that they will miss Dele Ali for three games because he was banned for punching West Brom player Yacob in the stomach.

For the first time I was like happy that West Brom drew to spurs normally when West Brom scored then I get annoyed. It felt wrong as a Villa fan to cheer for West Brom to score but they did the job and to be honest we all want Leicester to win the league instead of Spurs. Speaking of Spurs it was a typical Spurs game when they was on a good form they always seem to bottle it in the last few minutes like Arsenal.

Everton 1 – 2 Manchester United (FA Cup)

Now we are talking about the FA Cup Semi finals that happened this weekend and this game is crucial for both managers. It started well with former Everton player Fellani made it 1-0. Everton had a penalty in which Lukaku stepped up but David De Gea saved it but the Deulofeu crossed the ball in and it hit Smalling and it went in his own net.

Then in the last minute of the Anthony Martial in my opinion the new Thierry Henry or the new Louis Zaha stepped up and produced a goal that made every Man United fan think that they are going get a trophy. Now it’s pressure for the Everton boss as if he drew or loss to Bournemouth then it might be the end of Roberto Martinez.

Crystal Palace 2 – 1 Watford (FA Cup)

Now Man United will have to face Crystal Palace as they went to beat Watford at Wembley. Bolasie made it 1-0 in the first 6 minutes and then Troy Deeney their captain made it 1-1 to give Watford a chance to get the winner. Connor Wickham scored a brilliant header to make it 2-1 to Palace and Alan Pardew has took the club into the FA Cup final.

They will face Man United and this is crucial for Van Gaal because if they lose that final then it may be the end of Louis Van Gaal. It will be a repeat of the 1990 FA Cup final where the first leg was 3-3 and then the second leg Man United won that final.

I hope you enjoy this kind of different blog about football and follow my blog for more football madness.

Aston Villa Relegated!!

Hi guys Milan here and today my club Aston Villa has lost 1-0 to Manchester United and it’s been confirmed that we are relegated from the Premier League.

I’m not going to talk about the full review of the match but all I can say is that we was like a bunch of chickens on a nature program just clucking around just being clueless. Marcus Rashford with another goal in his dream debut season and looks like United are chasing for top 4.

What I will be talking about is how Villa has went from Europe to relegation and then who should stay at Villa and who should go, and Finally who will come in as Aston Villa manager.

Well Aston Villa won the European Cup in 1982 against Bayern Munich and we was the best team at the time. Fast forward to the 90s and we was challenging for the title with Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United with players like Dwight Yorke, Dalian Atkinson. No we are in the time where we had managers like Ron Atkinson, David O’Leary and the manager everyone worshipped that is Martin O’Neil. O’neil brought in players like Young, Carew, Petrov, Barry etc and we had a really good team that can finish in top 6. When Randy Lerner came in we was all quite sad as the legend Doug Ellis left as the owner.

After O’Neil left we all blamed Lerner for that but the real reason he left is because he wanted Villa to qualify for the Champions League and Europa League. After that he bought in managers like Gerard Houllier who had a decent start to Villa but he left because of his medical condition and then we brought in Alex Mcleish from Birmingham City which kinda made us mad and angry and in my opinion the worse Villa manger we had. The Paul Lambert came in from Norwich City and he had decent start to the season bringing players like Benteke and others. He got sacked after 3 seasons we have finish above relegation and it was not good enough so we brought in Tim Sheerwood to add some confidence to the players and that we can survive relegation which he did. We made it to the FA Cup final as well which we lost but it was a success. Then this season he didnt really get the best out of the players he brought in and then he was sacked in October (I was happy in the blog I did about him but now I feel bad for him). Remi Garde came in with an impossible task and he didn’t achieve it and then left after 147 days in charge.

Now I’m talking about the players I want to leave and want to stay

Well you Villa fans might think I’ll say I want everyone to go but I won’t. Jprdan Ayew I don’t know if he will go but I want him to stay because in my opinion he was our player of the year. Hutton needs to go same with Guzan, N.Zogbia, Westwood, Gana Gueye and especially Richardson as they don’t help the team and it makes us sit down in Villa park or on the sofa and watch them lose the ball and scoring own goals. Now we are in the Championship we need to bring players with experience in that league and player that have flair and passion to wear the claret and blue shirt. Rudy Gestede needs to stay to offer us Championship experience and goals to win games.

Now I’m talking about who will be the next Aston Villa manger next season.

This is a poll about who will be the next Villa manager and these contestants are worthy.

Hope you enjoy this blog and I hope Villa will get back up in the Premier League.

Semi Finals for English teams!!

Hi guys Milan here and this is a different blog about these results in Champions League, Europa League and the FA Cup. I’m going to talk about these English teams that made to the Semi Finals and their among the favorites to win the competitions in Europe and England.

Manchester City 1 – 0 (Agg 3-2)  Paris Saint-Germain

Manchester City are into the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time after Kevin de Bruyne’s late strike sealed a thrilling win over Paris St-Germain.

Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne scores for his side against PSG

After a 2-2 first-leg draw in Paris last week, the tie remained in the balance in Manchester thanks to Sergio Aguero’s missed penalty for City in the first half. The home side had Joe Hart to thank for three fine saves at 0-0, including a ferocious Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s free-kick that the England goalkeeper clawed to safety.

Joe Hart was voted man of the match for his performance in the 2nd leg. Kevin De Bruyne’s strike has taken Manchester City into the Champions League semi finals for the first time in their history.

West Ham United 1 – 2 Manchester United

Manchester United will face Everton in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley after showing class and then character to beat West Ham United.

Marcus Rashford gave Van Gaal’s men the lead in this quarter-final replay after 54 minutes, the 18-year-old collecting a pass from Anthony Martial before curling a magnificent finish into the top corner past West Ham keeper Darren Randolph. Rashford has serious talent and I think he will have a great start in his career at Manchester United with 6 goals in 11 starts for the 18 year old striker.

And when Marouane Fellaini bundled in a Martial cross 13 minutes later it looked all over for West Ham. But then Payet’s corner met the head of Andy Carroll and he head it toward Tomkins to make it 2-1.

David De Gea was voted Man of the Match in that game with his world class saves to deny West Ham to get the goals in the back of the net.

Liverpool 4 – 3 (Agg 5-4) Borussia Dortmund

Liverpool staged one of the most dramatic comebacks Anfield has seen to overcome Borussia Dortmund in a classic and reach the Europa League semi-finals.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were twice left needing three goals to go through in the face of Dortmund’s rapier attacks – but climbed the mountain twice with Dejan Lovren’s 90th minute header from James Milner’s cross to make Liverpool’s night so special and one of the best comebacks in Europe.

Anfield commemorated the 27th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster, in which 96 supporters died, with an minute’s silence before kick-off. Followed by a thriller that will be recalled for generations for sheer excitement and a final whistle that sent Anfield wild. Because to play with such character because of the disaster and went on to win the game is something special and I think Liverpool will go on to win this competition, that’s if they beat Villarreal in the Semi final.

I hope you enjoyed this blog and I’ll be uploading more football madness in the near future.

Premier League predictions #9

Hi guys Milan here and this is my 9th Premier League predictions for this season. We have a lot to talk about to look forward to this weekend.

West Ham United VS Arsenal

I remember this was the first game of the season and West Ham won 2-0 at Arsenal ground. West Ham has been playing good football with their best player that is Payet. Whereas Arsenal as they are not going to win the league this season but they are maintaining top 4 and make sure they get Champions League qualification. Ozil, Sanchez, Welbeck and the rest needs to make sure they are playing their best football to make sure West Ham are not catching up because Europe is in their sights.

I think this will be a 3-1 win for Arsenal.

Aston Villa FC VS AFC Bournemouth

Villa has to beat Bournemouth this weekend no excuses whatsoever, no offence to Bournemouth but we have better players on paper but Bournemouth has better players on the pitch. We need to stay professional from the 1 minute to the 90 minutes that’s what our coach Eric Black. Bournemouth are safe and playing good football but that game against City they were out played and making silly mistakes. So they need to make sure they don’t make any mistakes to make us counter attack.

I’m praying for a win but it’s unlikely but I think it’s a 2-1 win for Villa.

Crystal Palace VS Norwich City

Norwich had a crucial win against Newcastle last weekend which will give them the confidence to travel to London to take on a struggling Crystal Palace who have been bad lately but sometimes for Palace when they are losing they are always in the game and trying to get a goal. Zaha and Bolasie needs to get the crosses in for either Wickham and Adebayor. The defence needs to be switched on and make sure that Norwich don’t counter attack.

I think this game will be a 2-0 win for Crystal Palace.

Southampton VS Newcastle United

I think the confidence in Newcastle must be dropped after losing 3-2 in the last minute against Norwich and there goals came from their sub Mitrovic so I think Rafa needs to start him so they have a chance to cross the ball in the box and hope the Serbian striker scores for them. Southampton are looking solid at the moment with them getting results in but they only lost 1-0 to the leaders Leicester but I think they will get their confidence back again.

I think this game will be a 2-2 draw.

Swansea City VS Chelsea

Chelsea who are undefeated in the league so far under Guus Hiddink and Chelsea have announced that they are going to appoint Conte when he resigns from the Italian national football  team after Euro 2016. Swansea who are surviving but they need to a lot more to not concede goals to lose points. The Italian striker Paloschi is in good form so far and they need him to get the goals in order to keep Swansea City in the Premier League.

I think this game will be a 3-1 win for Chelsea.

Watford VS Everton

Last time these two met was a 2-2 draw and it was a tough game, now we are in April and Everton are ahead of Watford and both team have strikers who are both in form. Lukaku for Everton with 20+ goals in all competitions and Ighalo who has 30+ goals for Watford from the Championship and the Premier League. Watford who are safe from relegation and we will see them next season a lot stronger in my opinion .

I think this game will be  2-1 win for Everton.

Manchester City VS West Brom Albion

Man City after struggling against PSG in Paris they need to get themselves back in the driver seat in the title race. As Pellegrini said that Man City are not favourites in the Champions League which I agree with him bare in mind he’s so overrated. West Brom who have been getting results well and they need Ben Foster to make more wonder saves after drawing 0-0 with Sunderland but in my eyes I don’ see that happening with Man City’s deadly attack in Aguero, De Bruyne and David Silva.

I think it’s a 4-0 win for Man City.

Sunderland VS Leicester City

All I’m saying is that Leicester needs to keep the momentum to stay top of the league and stay away from teams like Spurs, Arsenal etc to catch them up. Vardy and Mahrez is the men that Sunderland need to watch out even when they are in the bottom three with Newcastle United and Aston Villa. Sunderland who are struggling to find a win to keep them in the Premier League and all the pressure is on them when they face the league leaders.

I think it’s a comfortable 1-0 win for Leicester City.

Liverpool VS Stoke City

After a tough 1-1 draw with Dortmund in the Europa League Liverpool should  use that confidence to get the valuable 3 points against Stoke who are decent team and a few points behind Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp has bring new life to the Liverpool team with devastating counter attacks and the defence looked more sharp with Lovren and Sakho being in good form (yes they make a few mistakes but less mistakes then when Rodgers was in charge).

I think this game will be a comfortable 2-1 win for Liverpool.

Tottenham Hotspur VS Manchester United

Last time these two met it was separated by an own goal by Kyle Walker that lead to a 1-0 win for Manchester United. This time its revenge for Spurs as they are looking unstoppable in the league so far with Kane as their top scorer and also the leagues top scorer as well. Manchester United are looking to finish in the top 4 as they are looking for consistent wins for the first time since the first few months of the season.

I think this game will be a 1-1 draw.
