Aston Villa 0-2 Middlesbrough (EFL Cup)| Elphick the clown!!

Patrick Bamford

Hi guys Milan here and This is a blog talking about the third round of the EFL Cup and there’s been some drama so far and speaking of drama let’s start with my team Aston Villa.

Patrick Bamford scored twice as Middlesbrough beat 10-man Aston Villa to reach the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

This game shows that with Tommy Elphick and Chris Samba in defence, we will lose the game and it has shown as Middlesbrough knocked us out of the the cup. First half was not exciting at all but we was doing alright, I mean we wasn’t creating any chances but we was staying in the game and trying to exploit a weakness.

1st goal went in a one man that we’ve been criticising him for a long time. Tommy Elphick who bottled it a brought down Bamford and got a second yellow and he got sent off. Elphick is a player that I’ve completely misjudged because somehow the desire and passion he had when he guided Bournemouth to the Premier League seemed to disappear since coming to Villa. He needs to sort it out before Steve Bruce gives him the bullet.

2nd goal went in when again, Patrick Bamford puts the nail in the coffin and send us out of the EFL Cup and we had no pray of getting back into this game. We seem to be half asleep half the time like these teams are taking performing enhancers and we taking bloody sleeping pills before the game.

Let’s hope that this doesn’t make a toxic atmosphere again and we can kick on the season and concentrate on the Championship and we can build our momentum and achieve minimum play offs. UTV!!

Barnsley 0-3 Aston Villa|Dream goal from Kienan Davis

Albert Adomah

Hi guys Milan here and Aston Villa smashed Barnsley 3-0 and it was a really good performance away from home.

This was a dominant display from Villa as we needed a win to make the travelling fans happy after the awful back to back 0-0 draws. We started well with Kodija started after coming back from a long ankle injury. He looked solid as he scored a goal but it was called offside but he was level with the last defender.

The first goal went in when Chester long ball up Adomah came for it but he was lucky as the keeper lost the ball and it was an easy tap in and I was happy and glad that he was playing because Adomah should be starting every single game with Snodgrass on the right as well.

Then before half time Elmohamady pings a ball towards youngster Davis, who went body to body with Barnsley defender Jackson and Davis went down and it was a penalty. Adomah stepped up and he was cool as a cucumber as he made it 2-0.

Second half kicked off and we came out and played like we did in the first half. 10 minutes in the second half and Elmohamady crossed the ball into the box and one man, who will remember this goal for a long time. Step foward, Kienan Davis jumped in the air and he guided his header in the bottom corner and I was so delighted for him because he had some decent games and he was so close to score a goal but tonight he scored his first ever goal.

In my opinion Davis was man-of-the-match because he made a nightmare for the opposition defenders, he won a penalty and he scored so I’m delighted with the result and to make it better, Harry Redknapp is sacked by Birmingham City so they are not having a good time after losing 3-1 to Preston.

We can build on this result play 4-4-2 and play with actual wingers and we can climb the table towards the play offs and hopefully see the scum relegated. UTV!!!

Aston Villa 0-0 Middlesbrough| Only positive is Birmingham losing

Related image

I’m not happy at all from these two games against Brenford and Boro and in this game we was better then Boro and we should of got the 3 points tonight.

Loads of boos after the game again and it’s getting toxic again and I thought we got rid of the toxic atmosphere but the bottom line is 1 win in 7 games which is shocking for our standards.

Steve Bruce actually picked a good side and the right formation so…. he must listened to the fans from the Brentford game. We had Hogan Adomah and our main man Kodija on the bench tonight and we was confident coming into this game. First half was interesting as former Villa flop, Adama Traore got a straight red card after 4 minutes which gives us an advantage to attack Boro.

Like I said in my preview we want to beat Brentford and drew to Boro but after that game it would off been a draw to Brentford and a beat Boro and that would mean the pressure would be off Steve Bruce.

Speaking of Steve Bruce I have to put some comments on him because he’s been criticised by certain few fickle Villa fans watching the game. We all know he plays negative football and organises the defence really well, but it’s shade of Di Matteo when he struggled to get the team to get to play well and get a good result.

Hope that we can get wins together like Barnsley away, Forest at home and Burton away so we need to get those points to climb the table.

Aston Villa VS Middlesbrough Preview

Image result for aston villa vs middlesbrough

Another game and another preview for Aston Villa as they face Promotion favourites Middlesbrough at home.

This is a massive game for this club because this game may decide on where we will finish and also may decide on the position of the manager Steve Bruce.

The 0-0 draw against Brentford was awful and I was watching that game and we was lucky to get a point, but we was should be getting 3 points against Brentford and a draw against Boro would be good for us but this is a must win game tonight.

There was loads of fans who are against Steve Bruce afater the Brentford game is understandable because we was playing negative football and not creating anything in the final third. Sam Johnstone and John Terry was key to keep us in the game because without them we would of lost that game.

Boro are in fantastic form so far this season with Assombalonga in form, former Villa player Adama Traore is in good form and other players are playing with confidence. With Andre Green, Kienan Davis and Josh Onomah all carrying injuries and they are three young players with bags of potential.

We have some good news as Jedinak was on the bench against Brentford and Kodija is back to full fitness as he played for the U23 squad for Villa and he will come back.

My prediction for this game will be a 1-1 draw but I want a 2-1 win for Villa.

Bristol City VS Aston Villa Preview

Image result for bristol city vs aston villa

Weekend is here… well Friday actually because that’s when Villa are playing Bristol City away so let’s hope we win.

After we beat Norwich 4-2 and then thrash Wigan 4-1 in the EFL Cup we are going there with immense confidence and our players are in hot for like Hourihane who scored a hat trick against Norwich and also Scott Hogan who has confidence after scoring 2 against Wigan.

Our away form is dreadful at the moment but now after these two games we have found the right tactics to play against teams and now we can have a go at teams. The injuries we have, when Kienan Davis has a hamstring problem but he is doubt to start, Onomah is fit to play and Jedinak is close to full fitness to start. The long injuries like Kodija and Grealish.

Starting Lineup:

GK: Sam Johnstone

RB: James Bree

CB: John Terry and James Chester

LB: Neil Taylor

CM: Glenn Whelan

CM: Henri Lansbury

CAM: Conor Hourihane

LW: Andre Green

ST: Scott Hogan

RW: Albert Adomah

My predicted score for this game will be 3-1 Villa

Aston Villa 4-2 Norwich City| Hourihane is the man!

Image result for aston villa 4 2 norwich#

Aston Villa made light of their early-season wobbles as they deservedly beat Norwich City to claim their first Championship win of the season.

Our first win of the season has finally come and it was 4-2 win over Norwich City which was a massive game and a massive 3 points for us.

The game started with Villa creating loads of chances and one man upfront got his first debut which is Kienan Davis who was fantastic as he tormented the Norwich defence and it paid off with an assist Hourihane to make it 1-0 deservedly. Then it was made 2-0 when Lansbury came on as a sub to Andre Green who’s shot curled into the top corner in-front of the Holte End.

It was good for him as his potential is really high and if he keeps his focus on football then he will do well in his career. Half time went and it was a positive from the fans as we was comfortable and it would be a good day.

Second half kicked off and Norwich got a goal back when Murphy slot one pass Johnstone. Hourihane made it 3-1 when his deflected shot went passed the keeper and our 2 goal cushion is restored. Olivera made it 3-2 when John Terry lost him and he finished well. Then Hourihane completed his hat-trick with a long range into the bottom corner.

Most people said Hourihane was Man of the Match but it was close when Kienan Davis was really good and I think he should start against Wigan in the next round of the Cup. He’s strong, quick, and very confident when he had the ball on his feet.

Let’s hope this win can be the first of many and we can climb the table into where we should be by January and then challenge for the title.

Premier League Weekend Review #1

Image result for premier league 17/18

It’s back!! The 2017/18 Premier League season and I can’t wait for the new football season so let’s go!!!

Arsenal 4-3 Leicester City

Olivier Giroud celebrates Arsenal winner

Arsenal end their curse of losing on the first game of the season with thrilling 4-3 win over Leicester City.

Arsenal started really strong as Lacazette gets his first goal for Arsenal with a terrific header. Then Leicester made it 1-1 when Okazaki heads in the net past Cech, then Vardy made it 2-1 and it was good attacking football from Leicester. New signing Kolasinac past to Welbeck to make it 2-2 before half time.

Second half kicked off and Leicester made it 3-2 when again Jamie Vardy puts it past Cech again. Wenger reacted when he subbed Giroud and Ramsey and they made an instant impact. Xhaka crossed the ball to Ramsey who smashed it past Schmeichel in the 83rd minute and then 2 minutes later Xhaka crossed the ball in and Giroud rised up and hits the back of the net and 3 points go to Arsenal.

Watford 3-3 Liverpool

Miguel Britos heads Watford's equaliser over the line

Watford scored a late equaliser in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Liverpool.

Watford took the lead with an header from Okaka past Mignolet and then Liverpool hit back with Sadio Mane with a clinical finish. Watford made it 2-1 with a goal fromĀ Doucoure before half time.

Second half kicked off and Liverpool got two goals from Firmino and then new signing Salah made it 3-2 and it wonderful attacking football from Liverpool. Then right at the end when Britos snatched 2 points from Liverpool.

With Coutinho out of the sqaud for the game which is a shock as he wants to leave so what will happen to Coutinho?

Chelsea 2-3 Burnley

Image result for chelsea 2-3 burnley

Chelsea started their defence of the title with an humiliating 3-2 defeat to Burnley.

The game started and Burnley were more lively and Chelsea were down to 10 men with a bad challenge from Cahill. Burnley made it 1-0 from Vokes with 24 minutes gone, then it was made 2-0 when Ward puts the ball past the keeper. Then 3-0 was made when Vokes again volleyed it in and it was a carnival for Burnley and humilting from Chelsea.

Chelsea pulled on pack in the second half with new signing Morata with a nice finish. But it was let down when Chelsea went down to 9 men when Fabregas got a second yellow and a red card. David Luiz made it 3-2 and they were close to gain a point but Burnley defended well and they deserved the 3 points.

Crystal Palace 0-3 Huddersfield Town

Mounie scores Huddersfield's second goal

Huddlesfield Town made a dream start to their first season in the Premier League with a 3-0 win over Crystal Palace.

They took the lead when Palace defender Joel Ward puts in in his own net. Then Steve Mounie made it 2-0 with a powerful header, and the confidence in a club playing in the top teir of english football since 1972 is through the roof.

Mounie who is the club’s record signing scored his a second goal to make it 3-0 and it was a canaval for the 3000 huddlesfield fan. This is Frank De Boer first game under Palace and it didn’t get off to a good start for him but I feel they will do well this season.

Everton 1-0 Stoke City

Image result for everton rooney

It was a special moment for a certain Wayne Rooney who gets the only goal for Everton in a 1-0 win over Stoke City.

Everton who have invested in loads of players over the summer with the amount of money coming to the club. They dominated the first half and Stoke keeper Jack Butland was keeping stoke in the game until a header from Wayne Rooney made it 1-0 before half time.

The 31-year-old, who left the club for Manchester United in 2004, headed in his 199th Premier League goal as the Toffees beat Stoke 1-0 at Goodison Park. He is close to Shearer’s record but even if he breaks it he won’t be anywhere near Shearer’s class.

Southampton 0-0 Swansea City

Gabbiadini

There was always one boring game on the opening day and this was one of them which is a 0-0 draw between Southampton and Swansea.

Both teams had chances to make it 1-0 and to be honest strikers on both sides had an off day and the one big chance when Southampton striker Gabbiadini hit the cross bar from a corner from Tadic.

Southampton had chance after chance after chance to make it 1-0 and it should of been 3-0 or 4-0 to the Saints and Swansea were getting destroyed and they got a sneaky point way from home.

West Brom Albion 1-0 AFC Bournemouth

West Brom

A certain new signing for West Brom described his goal a special moment as West Brom won 1-0 against Bournemouth.

Bournemouth had the majority of possession but failed to capitalise, and there was a sense of inevitability as a Baggies free-kick was safely nodded in by the Egyptian defender, for his first goal for the club.

Another Tony Pulis’ summer signing performed well, which is debutant Jay Rodriguez twice coming close and looking sharp. It was a tidy opening day performance for the Baggies.

Brighton & Hove Albion 0-2 Manchester City

Aguero

Brighton fought against the mighty Man City but Man Ciy proved too strong for Brighton with a comfortable 2-0 win.

In the first half Brighton did really well as they were compact, they defended well and frustrated Pep Guardiola’s team and everyone thought they will struggle against Brighton who are playing in the Premier League for the first time in history.

Second half started and Man City was putting pressure on Brighton all half and it paid of with their man Sergio Aguero who was top scorer for City last season, opens his account for the season. then it was made 2-0 five minutes later with an own goal by Lewis Dunk.

Wasn’t convincing from Man City as they need to step up to show that they are title contenders for this season.

Newcastle United 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham

Tottenham made a winning start to the 2017-18 Premier League season as 10-man Newcastle endured a difficult return to the top flight.

First half was all Spurs the half as Kane, Alli, Eriksen etc having shots at goal and Newcastle were terrible as they couldn’t get out of their half. All the talk about what’s happening at Newcastle as their manager Benitez as he might resign because of Mick Ashley and they are not going after players.

Second half kicked off and it went from bad to worse as Jonjo Shelvey got a straight red card for stamping on Dele Alli due to frustration. It was stupid from Shelvey and he deserves a ban for that. Speaking of Dele Alli, he gived Spurs the deserved lead and I feel Shelvey will get the blame. It was made 2-0 when Ben Davies scored from an Eriksen assist.

Spurs started off strong and hope they will be title conteders again whereas Newcastle they need to sort themselves out before Rafa Benitez walks away.

Manchester United 4-0 West Ham United

Romelu Lukaku scores Manchester United's opening goal

United started with a dominate 4-0 win over West Ham United.

Lukaku gived United the lead for his first goal at Old Trafford for Manchester United from a pass from Rashford. Lukaku seems to be a good signing for United as with his experience in the Premier League

Then second half kicked off and it was made 2-0 when Romelu Lukaku again when he heads the ball from a free kick from Mkhitaryan. It was 3-0 when substitute Martial opens his account for the season with a nice finish then Pogba scored from 20 yards out to make it 4-0.

One player stood out and it was Matic who controlled the game, won the ball back and he can be key to United winning trophies this season. It was a dominate game from Mourinho and I feel they are title contenders this season.
