Aston Villa 2-0 Birmingham City|The City Is Ours

Aston Villa celebrate Albert Adomah's goal

What a day, What a performance and What a result to put us 2nd in the league and one point ahead of Derby.

This game means a lot to me as this is the fixture I look forward to the most because the rivalry is huge in Birmingham. We started the game really well as it was the same team but Steve Bruce made one change which is Jedinak in for Bjarnason. We had a really good chance when Hogan came close to score as his shot hit the crossbar, then Birmingham had a chance when Gallagher hits the post and couldn’t get the rebound.

We had chance after chance as we could be 2-0 up in the first half and we wasn’t taking our chances as Birmingham was poor defensively. But it was neck and neck with both teams really going for it because for us it be crucial in our return to the Premier League and for Birmingham it would be crucial in them staying in the Championship.

Second half started and to be honest we dominated and they collapsed. Grealish got the ball and he was playing with the defenders and he slipped through Adomah took a touch and he found the bottom corner to make it 1-0 and Villa Park went mental. Then it went absolutely metal when the ball fall to Conor Hourihane and fires it from 20 yards and it was a goal that was worthy to win the Second City derby.  They had a player sent off for Birmingham in the last few minutes of the game and overall it was a brilliant game of football and this result is fitting for Steve Bruce personally and we played for him today.

Aston Villa 1-0 Birmingham City| Gabby once again against the blues.

Gabby Agbonlahor

Ahhhh it feels good to beat our rivals. Aston Villa won 1-0 against a poor Birmingham City side.

1st half kicked off and it was a full house at Villa Park which is incredible and I think we should do that for all the home games for next season because it will be the season where we can build the full squad and go back to the Premier League.

We have to thank Zola who ruined the club and I feel sorry for Harry Redknapp because if Birmingham get relegated then it will ruin his reputation as a manager. I don’t think he will get the blues safe because they got an inform Huddersfield and Bristol City. Villa have got Blackburn away and we got the champions Brighton for the final home game of the season.

The first half was boring lets be honest nothing really happen apart from some tackles and arguments which is what you expect from a derby. Second half started and we tried to create some good chances and we made a substitution off goes Jack Grealish on goes Gabby Agbonlahor who’s record against Birmingham is impressive.

We had a corner, Lansbury whipped it in, the players were all over the place, it fell to one man that is Gabby Agbonlahor who reaction speed was phenomenal as he smashes the ball into the top corner as nearly 50,000 fans were celebrating a goal at last.

Also I want to say RIP to Villa legend Ugo Ehiogu who was incredible alongside McGrath in defence. I think we didn’t put in a good performance but we got the 3 points and it was a fitting tribute to Ugo who not only he was a brilliant defender he was a very nice human being.

Maybe we can win the last two games but for me I want Blackburn to beat us and Birmingham to lose to Huddersfield and that would be celebration to see the scum in League One.

Birmingham 1-1 Aston Villa| A fair result in a thrilling derby

Hi Guys Milan here and the Derby is over and Aston Villa drew 1-1 to Birmingham City in a thrilling derby.

Image result for aston villa vs birmingham city 1-1

Aston Villa started the game we when we dominated the Blues by creating chances and defending really well. We scored the first goal when Jordan Ayew crossed the ball into the box and a player who came through the Villa Academy that goes by the name Gary Gardiner, who guided the ball in the back of the net with his head and I felt really happy for him as he struggled under Di Matteo but now under Steve Bruce he will get game experience and will be a good midfielder alongside Jedinak and Tshibola.

Speaking of Jedinak he was incredible in that game and in my opinion he is my man of the match for his tracking back and winning the ball back consistently and protecting the defence and supporting the attacking options of Ayew, Kodija etc. He is a leader in the midfield and we haven’t had a leader in the middle since Stiliyan Petrov which is a long time ago now.

Second half starts and Birmingham City in my opinion came out the better side and we was defending for our lives when The Blues had shot after shot and Chester and Baker had to work as hard as they can. The Blues had an equaliser coming from David Davis scored a really good shot from outside the box and it was 1-1. I was quite disappointed but I have to stay positive and we made some very interesting subs.

One sub was a man that goes by the name Gabriel Agbonlahor, who have been axed from Di Matteo’s side and now Steve Bruce is working hard get Gabby back into full fitness and be the Agbonlahor we know. We carried on defending well and both teams have to settle for the draw which I think is a fair result. We need to kick on now and get a result against Blackburn and challenge for the Play Offs this season.

Birmingham City VS Aston Villa Preview

Hi Guys Milan here a I haven’t done this in a while and that is a the Preview for the Second City derby that is Birmingham City VS Aston Villa.

Image result for birmingham city vs aston villa

This is it. The Second City derby is this weekend at St Andrews and it will be Steve Bruce against the club who he played and managed. Under Steve Bruce Aston Villa have been good so far with 7 points out of 9 in 3 games which is really impressive but we will go there with confidence in the veins of our players with Kodija on fire so far and our team looks more organised in defence, midfield and attack.

Birmingham on the other-hand are getting rocky results lately. They lost 2-0 to Burton Albion and they only won 1 in their last 10 meetings against Aston Villa. They are struggling to keep the consistency up and it’s been like this for too long for Birmingham. I hope the fans do give their former manager a good reputation even though they called him “Judas” over Twitter, he’s a nice man and a good coach and he’s done so much for their club but now the past is in the past and I hope he will do well for Aston Villa.

Villa need to give respect to the opposition but we need to attack them and score the first goal and then after that we need to score again to be safe and dominate the match and we will win the derby and have more confidence to climb the table. We are only 6 points behind the play offs so we need to make sure we are winning and the teams above us have some rocky results.

Starting XI Against Birmingham City

Formation: 4-4-3

GK: Gollini

RB: Bacuna

CB: Baker

CB: Chester

CM: Tshibola

CM: Jedinak

CM: Gardiner:

LW: Ayew

ST: Kodija

RW: Adomah

I think we will do well in the game and win 3-1.
